This 200-Year-Old Book Is Also An Animated Painting

    It's like a .gif, but it was made a couple centuries ago.

    The Special Collections & Archives at the University of Iowa has a 200-year-old book that not only contains the Old Testament, but also a painting that has been animated by Talya Miller.

    The animated illustration is of Church of St. Olave in Old Jewry, London. This technique is called fore-edge painting.
