The giant package popped up on Reddit yesterday. Jerry Seinfeld was among the users to declare it FAKE.
But an Amazon spokesman has now told Re/code that Photoshop was not involved.
It transpires the box is part of an advertising campaign which is being put together in partnership with Nissan. Last year the companies collaborated on a campaign in which people interested in buying a Nissan Versa Note could fill out a form on a special Amazon landing page.
