    This month marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic genocide in Rwanda. A group of Rwandan students at the Akilah Institute for Women started an #iamrwanda project to draw attention to how they, and Rwanda, are looking forward to the future.

    1. I am class president and I will soon be Rwandan female president.

    2. I survived. I am not afraid. I can do anything.

    3. Proud to be from Africa's best investment hub!

    4. I am on the right track. 65% of the parliament are women. I will be one of them!!

    5. I've got a business idea and my past won't stop me!

    6. I am a future marketing manager ready to contribute to my country's development!

    7. I didn't choose to be Rwandese -- I was born lucky!

    8. I have the best friends and family a girl could wish for!!

    9. Did you know that my country is a major tourist destination?
