Gingrich SuperPAC Releasing Film Tying Romney To Medicare Fraud

The pro-Gingrich SuperPAC Winning Our Future is releasing a documentary on Medicare fraud that occurred at a Bain-owned company while Mitt Romney sat on the board. Winning Our Future tells BuzzFeed that the film, entitled "Blood Money," will begin airing tomorrow at 5pm est. Their first film, When Mitt Romney Came To Town, was widely panned and had to be amended to remove inaccuracies. Here's the background on the fraud from a earlier BuzzFeed article.

Newt Gingrich's 13 Most Liberal Moments

Newt Gingrich often mentions balancing the budget, taking on welfare reform, and cutting taxes while Speaker. What Gingrich probably won't mention is his previous support for urgent climate change legislation, proposing an individual mandate to solve the uninsured, or increasing the State Department by 50%.

Mitt Romney Suggests Hezbollah-Style Health Diplomacy

At a town hall meeting in Ottumwa, Iowa in July 2007 Mitt Romney suggested that America should engage in health diplomacy similar to the approach that Hezbollah has taken in Lebanon. Hezbollah has benefited politically by building schools and clinics which offer free education and health services to the people of southern Lebanon. Romney is pointing out that American diplomacy could benefit from a similar approach.

The Culture Wars Come Back

Newt In 1988: Bush Won't Win If He Runs To Continue Reaganism

Newt Gingrich has been touting service in the House under Ronald Reagan. In 1988, he warned George H. W. Bush not to run as "a continuation of Reaganism." Update Dan Riehl has the entire clip, which also shows Gingrich praising Reaganism. The extended video puts the entire clip in full context, but this still the most interesting part.

Jan Brewer Discusses Confrontation With Obama

Arizona Governor Janice Brewer discussed her confrontation with President Obama at the airport today with KFYI radio. Brewer claims Obama was upset with her description of their 2010 meeting at the White House in her book Scorpions for Breakfast. Brewer says she went to greet Obama with good intentions, but the discussion soon escalated into a heat argument over the content of the book. Brewer says Obama eventually walked away from her mid-sentence.

Newt Gingrich's Big 1986 Idea: Farmers In Space

Newt Gingrich prides himself on "grandiose" ideas. Few ideas, however, live up to the grandiosity of his 1986 plan for space exploration. Gingrich suggested that if the United States cut farm subsidies and transferred that money to the space program, farmers could instead be put to work on "orbiting space factories." Gingrich was speaking at World Science Fiction Convention in Atlanta. In 1984 Gingrich called for sending astronauts to Halley's Comet.
