Movie Buzz Genre of movies “focused on the self-absorbed minutiae of post-collegiate existence,” which includes the newly released Hannah Takes the Stairs. It’s officially a genre! Mumblecore is like the FUBU of the indie slacker generation with less emblazoned streetwear, more cardigans. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, but most of all, you’ll cringe - the characters portrayed in these movies might hit a little too close to home.
