Racist Translations

A Canadian woman discovers the couch she's just bought is labeled "n*gger-brown."

As it turns out, a faulty Chinese/English translation program is to blame. "My daughter saw the label and she knew the color brown, but didn't know what the other word meant," the woman told reporters. "She asked, 'Mommy, what color is that?'" Maybe the label was made at Beijing's Racist Park.

Editorial note: Whoa! You've found a super-old post here on BuzzFeed, from an earlier era of the site. It doesn't really represent where we are anymore, and may in fact be totally broken, but we're leaving it up as a part of our early history.
