9. Without Bridges, we would be stuck taking inefficient ferries anytime we needed to get to the other side of the water

12. Bridges are there to help you when you are on the move
13. They are important for the easy flow of consumer goods
14. They are the ultimate landmarks that you are almost there
15. And there is a lot of really advanced engineering and architecture that keeps bridges from falling
16. And, most importantly, bridges bring people together
17. Basically, they are an elegant combination of functionality, aesthetic beauty and good governance
