People Are Dragging Caitlyn Jenner After She Called The President She Voted For "A Disgrace"

After US Attorney General Jeff Sessions reversed a policy that protects transgender workers from discrimination, Caitlyn Jenner – who voted for Donald Trump – called the President a "disgrace."

Yesterday, US Attorney General Jeff Sessions reversed a federal government policy that protects transgender workers from discrimination.

Shortly after the news was announced, Caitlyn Jenner – who supported Trump during the 2016 election, and in August was photographed wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat – hit out on Twitter.

She listed the attacks Trump's administration has so far made on transgender rights, calling the President a "disgrace."

But it didn't take long before people began dragging Caitlyn for her comments.

And when she shared this image on Instagram, the comments were much the same there, too.

With some followers expressing disappointment in Caitlyn.

One commenter drew attention to a scene in Caitlyn's reality show, filmed before the election, in which she discussed Trump with a group of other transgender women.

During the conversation, Caitlyn said Trump would be "very good for women's issues", and that the President wouldn't "try to destroy" or "take stuff away" from them.

However, Caitlyn didn't respond to the criticism of her, and instead shared this message which acknowledged both her responsibility to the transgender community, and her intent to spread a message of acceptance.

And this message garnered praise and support from some followers.

With some defending her from the negative comments.

A spokesperson for Caitlyn had no further comment after being contacted by BuzzFeed.
