Pete Davidson Explained Why He Also Gave His Ex-Girlfriend His Late Dad's FDNY Badge As Well As Ariana

Apparently, the one he gave his ex was a replica.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of months, you'll be aware that Ariana Grande is completely loved-up with her fiancé Pete Davidson.

They've made several grand gestures of love – from tattoos in tribute to each other to a song dedicated to him on her new album.

However, perhaps the most meaningful gesture was Pete giving Ariana the badge that belonged to his fire-fighter father who died during the 9/11 attacks in New York 17 years ago.

At the time, Pete revealed that he'd given the badge to Ariana to wear as a pendant because it's "the most precious thing" he owns.

But because this is 2018 and we can't have nice things, some people on social media called Pete out and accused him of also giving the badge to his ex-girlfriend, Cazzie David. You can just about see it in this photo of her, posted in December last year.

In fact, someone left this comment under the image of Ariana wearing the badge on Pete's Instagram.

But Pete wasted absolutely no time in explaining the situation, revealing that the badge he'd gifted his ex was a replica and not the real deal.

    So that's that.
