Wasn't that fabulous? I certainly thought so, but then I saw something even better.
Because being skinny - or being fat - is not some sort of official measurement. It's not even an idea that has remained the same. Within our parents or grandparents' lifetimes, the ideal body shape has changed.

In fact, there are tonnes of vintage adverts out there encouraging bright young things to lose the skinny label, and embrace their natural curves.
Maybe a little harsh, but we get the picture.
I didn't think we could get any harsher, but apparently we can!
That girl is so angry that she's skinny.
And the adverts just keep coming...
The desire for curves goes right back in history.
And it's not just women!
Of course, skinny shaming is just as upsetting as fat shaming, and we don't want to encourage either.
The important thing to remember is that today's society's ideals about what looks good is always going to change.
