    What started out as a typical recall is quickly spiraling out of control and this one is serious because at GM says at least 6 deaths have been linked to this failure mode.

    GM Adds 842,000 Vehicles To Ignition Switch Recall

    GM had announced the recall of over 780,000 Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s. But that list has now jumped up rapidly in size to included another 842,000 Saturn Ion compacts. Click the blue headline link above for the full story with all the details.

    And while we are keeping score, how about let's pile on Chevrolet HHR SUVs and Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky sports cars. i think that just about covers almost every car in the U.S.!

    Seriously, if you do own one of these cars, you should call your dealer immediately and confirm if your car is part of this recall, and get in there to get it fixed ASAP.
