Wearers have the choice of accessories ranging from fully-bloomed flowers to small seedlings.

According to Shanghaiist, the trend is possibly the result of the popular cartoon "Pleasant Goat and the Big Bad Wolf".

The hair clips are reportedly selling for as cheap as one Chinese yuan, (16 cents).
