Twitter Is Furious Over Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" MTV VMAs Nomination Snub

Look what the VMAs made Twitter do.

As I'm sure you've heard, the MTV VMA nominations were released yesterday with Cardi B, Beyoncé, and Jay Z leading the nominees.

However, Taylor Swift's video for Look What You Made Me Do wasn't nominated for the Video of the Year category and her fans are NOT happy.

The video - which has now amassed over a billion views - also broke the record for the most YouTube views in 24 hours.

So, it's no surprise that people were pretty baffled by the omission, but it's Taylor's fans who were really not happy.

So you mean to tell me Look What You Made Me Do, the video that broke Vevo/YouTube records and basically the only reason anyone watched last year's VMA's didn't get nominated for VOTY? What a joke lmao https://t.co/r4yJcrjgpp

Some people pointed out that even if you're not a fan, you know she deserved it.

Love her or hate her, the 'Look What You Made Me Do' video was incredible on every single level even if you ignore every record that was broken.

Fans pretty much think the VMAs have played Taylor.

No #VMA Video of the Year or Best Pop noms for @taylorswift13 and "Look What You Made Me Do?" Really, @MTV? You draw #VMA viewers by premiering it on your show last year and then don't give it the recognition it deserves? 🤔

They've also highlighted how clever the video is, and that it really was so damn cutting and iconic.

Anyway shoutout to the look what you made me do music video for doing THAT

The records it broke were also not unnoticed.

Look What You Made Me Do not receiving its rightful nomination for Video of The Year when it reached over 43.2 MILLION views in 24 hours, was the most iconic and expensive mv of all time costing $10 million+ and mocked the media of her reputation just proves the VMAs are rigged.

And it seems a rebellion may be at hand!

Tbh I think we should her Look What You Made me do back in charts for a massive 🤟🏼🖕🏼

Fans also want us to remember that Taylor worked her ass off for that video - she took us there.

Taylor didn’t lay in a bath tub of diamonds with the one dollar from her trial, stand on a tower of her old selves, call herself a bitch & address every stereotype/hate she has faced for y’all to ignore the masterpiece that is the Look What You Made Me Do Music Video #VMAs

And that she wasn't the only one robbed for creating one of the most iconic music videos of all time.

MTV excluded Look What You Made Me Do and New Rules from the Video Of The Year nominees. Can they ever get it right?

I feel you Taylor fans, I feel you. Let's see what happens next...
