We Risked Our Lives To Try The “World’s Hottest” Pie So You Don’t Have To

We were given the opportunity to face the "world's hottest" meat pie: The Flaming Ron.

From Ron Bruns' Bremen Patisserie in Australia, the Flaming Ron includes three of the world's hottest chilis.

The combination of Trinidad Scorpion Butch T peppers, Naga Jolokia chilis, and habenero peppers are what give the Flaming Ron its heat. The pie is recorded as being over 300 times hotter than a jalapeño.

Back in 2013, Today's Karl Stefanovic faced the challenge, making the pie a household name.

So we decided to give it a red hot go!

The intense heat of the pie requires keen eaters to first sign a waiver.

The waiver includes reassuring messages like, "some problems may occur several days after the consumption of this product".

By signing you also acknowledge, "I am aware that this product contains the hottest known ingredients on planet Earth which could lead to stress to the heart, asthma attacks, and other problems". SOUNDS GREAT.

Many people think it can't be ~that~ hot, but imagine wrapping your whole mouth around the inside of a volcano, after eating 300 jalapeños. That's basically what this is like, only much worse.
