A Woman Found The Perfect Way To Show Guys They Aren't “Too Big” For Condoms

Well, that's one way to make a point.

Tired of hearing people say they were "too big" to wear condoms, Emily, an 18-year-old from Utah, took these photos of a condom stretched on her arm to prove otherwise.

If a boy ever tells you he's too big for a condom, please send him this

Emily, who teaches contraception methods in schools, told BuzzFeed her tweet was originally intended to be a joke, but said it has since provoked many questions about condom size myths.

@jacoballen9 There's no excuse to not have safe sex and if a guy pressures you against your will for any reason, it's a red flag.

A common myth is that condoms can be too small and cut off circulation – but as the NHS points out, that isn't the case.

In an online Q&A about condom myths, the NHS says condoms do not break easily, that they can stretch to 18 inches round, and that they are available in many different shapes and sizes.

Emily stressed that condom sizes do matter, but the important thing is that they fit.

@TheRealD_Martin I tried. It didn't. Plus, the point is that condoms stretch and there are always bigger sizes, so there are no excuses.

Emily told BuzzFeed that the point of her tweet was to encourage people to always look for a condom that fits appropriately.

@TheRealD_Martin K, cool, get bigger condoms. There are ways bruh. Protection is never something to be glossed over, it's a big deal 💁🏼

She told BuzzFeed that the reaction to her tweet – which has been retweeted nearly 10,000 times – has been mostly appreciated by women, but that men have been "defensive" about it.

@jacoballen9 There's no excuse to not have safe sex and if a guy pressures you against your will for any reason, it's a red flag.

She added: "Safe sex is such an important thing and there are always options for it, no matter how 'big'."

@BjornSay Actually, the point of the joke is that guys need to either get bigger condoms or not have unprotected sex against the girls will.
