Tech Buzz Ithaca and Santa Cruz are considering a fully-electric rapid transit system that uses small, autonomously-guided vehicles with capacities of up to 10 people. Yay public transportation! As a New Yorker, I can vouch that not ever having to drive is always a good justification to get really, really wasted wherever you go.

Business Buzz Volkswagen’s new microcar that seats two people and gets 235 miles per gallon is two years ahead of production, meaning it will come out in 2010. Aww, it kind of looks like that one-eyed character Leela from Futurama.
