A Guide To Paris Hilton's Music Career

This morning TMZ leaked Paris and Lil Wayne's new song, "I Wanna Bang You." But there is SO MUCH MORE.

    2004: "Screwed"

The song, written by Kara DioGuardi and Greg Wells, was pitched to both Paris and Haylie Duff and soon they both gave interviews in which they claimed ownership of the song. Duff was then dropped by Hollywood Records so the song could belong to Paris. (The performance above shows the justice she did the tune.) Here's a sample of the lyrics:

    Since I'm already screwed
    Here's a message to you
    My heart's wide open
I'm just not getting through to the lover in you
    Yet I'm still hoping
That tonight, tonight, you're gonna turn down the lights
And give me a little more room just to prove it to you
    What do I gotta do?

2006 brought us "Paris," the self-titled album from Warner Music.

There were songs such as "Turn It Up,"

    Can you gimme that feeling
    When I lose my clothes
    You like that, don't cha?
    Let's get exposed
Cause you know you want to.

    "Jealousy,"

I only wanted what was best for you
Everything I did, I did because I cared
So how did all the good between us turn so bad?
Maybe someday we'll get back, what we had.

In which she grinds all over a teenage boy in his bed and then helps him to become popular, I think? I don't know. It's a very confusing video.

Baby, you and I, we got what will never be
    You know I'm right
So tell me what you're waiting for when you're here with me?
    Most guys would die

Every time I turn around the boys fighting over me
Every time I step out the house they want to fight over me
Maybe cause I'm hot hot today and I'm so so so sexy
All the boys all the silly boys they want to fight over me

    "Heartbeat"

and the best of the bunch, "Stars Are Blind."

Her biggest hit had some fantastic lyrics too:

If you show me real love baby
    I'll show you mine
I can make it nice and naughty
Be the devil and angel too
Got a heart and soul and body
Let's see what this love can do

While it was admirable that she advocated for gay marriage, the rest of the song's lyrics left a lot to be desired:

When they tell you bout my policies
To stop the player hating on the USA
nuclear nonproliferation and ratify Kyoto today
You can light in the motorcade in my hyper pink Escalade

    Paris for President!
    Not another oldie cliche
    Paris for President!
You can get married if you're straight or if you're gay

If you're gonna put lipstick on a pig
Make sure that shit it matches your skin tone
You can trust me with my finger on the button (nucular)
    is a vocabulary don't
Trading in the cabinet for a walk in closet

Waterboarding is torture and global warming is totally not hot
I'll make a department called the fashion police,
Boost the economy with all of the new jobs
Make over lady liberty in Donna, Tommy and Calvin Klein

    Paris for President!

    September 2008: "My BFF"

A song she presumably recorded for as introductory theme music for her MTV reality show Paris Hilton's My New BFF. (If you happen to enjoy awful reality television it's worth watching .)

All of my life I've been waiting for someone to trust
Someone who cares, someone who knows that would always be there
Someone who always would tell me the truth
Even when it's the hard thing to do
Could you be the one I want?
    My best friend

Otherwise known as the song she wrote about her time spent in jail:

Cold nights and freezing water, Fluorescents always on,
Stuck here behind this glass, My parents see their daughter,
Judge you're no celebrity; You're a desperate wannabe,
Service you'd rather leave, Real criminals on the streets.

Hand cuffs and Coco cream, Notes slipped right under my door,
Look at me caught in this cage, Just like an animal,
Like a public enemy, make a mockery out of me,
How dangerous can I be? I'm just a jailhouse baby.

    2011: "Crave"

Earlier this year Paris uploaded a few snippets of songs that would come out on an album later in 2012...which we have heard nothing about yet. Still, what a treat:

I wanna put the happy in your birthday
And I wanna be the merry in your Christmas
I'm always giving thanks for you on every Thanksgiving
Sure as the sun will rise I need you
I wanna be the bunny In your Easter
And I wanna kiss you every New Year's Eve

    February 2012: "Drunk Text"

Paris Hilton's foray into spoken word/club music was truly something — and yet, it was taken off of the internet almost immediately after it debuted:

It was just a drunk text, in my head I was writing a fiction of us.
Behind my eyes I was begging for things that my lips would never ask.
My mouth kept pouring desperate calls with random intent.
He asked me if he could text me later.
"I'm too lazy to type, so I sent a photo I took up a dancer's skirt and I tell him to come and get it.
