The Man Who Played Barney Runs A Tantric Sex Business And It's Safe To Say My Childhood Is Now Ruined

We all know Barney, the lovable purple dinosaur that danced and sang his way into our childhoods, right?

Well, this is David Joyner, the man who was inside the Barney costume from 1991 to 2001. And now, thanks to an interview with Vice published this morning, we know that he currently runs a tantric sex business.

While tantra traces its routes back to Buddhism and Hinduism, modern tantra yoga practices, as described by the Source School of Tantra Yoga, focus on combining passion, love, and consciousness to transform sex into profound meditation.

Tantra incorporates several different techniques to align chakras and tap into spirituality, but the sex part seems to be the key focus for Joyner, who told Vice, "When the lingam [penis] and the yoni [vagina] meet, there’s a certain energy that takes place that hands on the body alone cannot create."

So yeah, the guy who helped shape so many childhoods now goes around spouting lines such as, "When you go down on a woman (orally), it should be just like you’re saying grace, like blessing the food you’re about to receive."
