How Martha Stewart Rode Out The Blizzard

She cleaned out her basement and found, among other things, her "old safari clothes."

Martha Stewart tweeted about being "stranded" at her house in Bedford, New York during Nemo, the weekend blizzard that left the New York area with over a foot of snow on the ground. By Sunday night, she'd escaped — to New York Fashion Week, for designer Ralph Rucci's show.

But naturally, she kept busy while trapped indoors.

"I cleaned my basement. I have an amazing basement with all my archives," she told BuzzFeed. Among her findings were "a huge tub of empty silver frames, which I have to fill" and "a tub full of old silver platters that I forgot about."

"I also found all my old hiking clothes and safari clothes. All the good stuff."

Wow. My arms ache from. Shovelling snow for three hours. Pretty deep at the farms
