Darren Aronofsky Made A Video About Why Gen Z'ers Need To Vote This Year And It's So Powerful

"I didn't get to vote in 2016. But now I can."

Hey, Generation Z! I've got a very important question to ask you: Are YOU registered to vote yet? It takes just a few minutes!

I ask because the midterm elections are just a few weeks away — on Nov. 6, to be exact. And for many of you, this will be the FIRST election you're eligible to vote in.

That's why filmmaker Darren Aronofsky and the Sierra Club partnered with a whole bunch of Gen Z activists to explain why they'll be voting this year. Check out why some of your peers will be headed to the polls on Nov. 6:

"One thing I've seen from a very young age is young people's voices are incredibly impactful and incredibly needed in the world today," says 18-year-old environmental activist Xiuhtezcatl Roske-Martinez.

"I didn't get to vote in 2016. But now I can," says social activist Lulu Cerone.

The video also features David Hogg, Gavin Grimm, Delaney Tarr, Chella Man, and many more.

"The passion these activists share about their causes is contagious," Aronofsky says of the video. "All of them are between the ages of 18 and 20. None of them were eligible to vote in 2016. But now they can be heard, and all of them are passionate about voting."

So no matter what issues are important to you, listen to your fellow Gen Z'ers and get the heck to the polls on Nov. 6! Make your first election COUNT, people!
