Listen: The NRA Has A Target On Its Back

"Just looking at the math, something doesn't add up. It would be difficult for them to equal their very prominent and power role in 2016."

Louis C.K., Aziz Ansari, And Sexist Double Standards

Louis C.K. and Aziz Ansari’s effortless returns highlight the double standard for women comics like Kathy Griffin and Samantha Bee, who are still apologizing for misdeeds far less severe.

Who Gets To Be At The Center Of #MeToo Stories?

Jennifer Fox’s powerful new film The Tale is a reminder of how many #MeToo narratives have been centered on the men accused, rather than the people who have spoken up against them. (Warning: This essay contains descriptions of child sexual assault, and spoilers.)

Movies' Biggest Winners And Losers In 2017

From Tiffany Haddish and Matt Damon to Wonder Woman and Tom Cruise, here are the actors, filmmakers, and studios with reason to celebrate 2017 — and others who likely can't wait to see it go.

Harvey Weinstein Will Not Go Quietly

Though the devastating investigations of Weinstein gave birth to the national reckoning on sexual assault, the once all-powerful mogul continues to try to defend himself — perhaps showing us what may come after #MeToo.

Saying You’re Sorry Isn’t Enough Anymore

Maybe the reason the recent wave of apology tours feels so exhausting is because giving forgiveness takes more effort than asking for it.

There’s No Way Louis C.K.’s New Movie Can Happen Now

I Love You, Daddy is a primer for how conversations about power and consent get muddied and used to excuse abusive behavior. And in the wake of allegations against C.K., the film became unreleasable.

Joan Rivers Dies At 81

The comedian died Thursday, a week after suffering cardiac and respiratory arrest during routine throat surgery. "My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh," her daughter said in a statement. "Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon."

31 Works Of Art We Can All Appreciate

You don't need an art history degree or an elevated sense of pretension to "get" these amazing pieces. Someone needs to curate an art gallery specifically devoted to the subject matters of rainbows, pizza, and cats.

Louis CK's "Turning 40" As A Cartoon

This is hardly my favorite Louis CK bit, but you gotta respect DeviantArtist Dezmond Gipson's attempt to animate the funnyman's material. There should be more of this. In fact, Dezmond, could you do his Awesome Possum bit next?

Louis CK's TV Daughter Is Crazy Talented

When she isn't fighting for mango pops, being bored in the car, or telling would be muggers to "stop being scary!" Ursula Parker is an amazing violinist. Which wouldn't be impressive except that she's 6-years-old (at least when this was filmed).

Louis C.K. Asks Donald Rumsfeld If He Is A Lizard

This actually happened and it is priceless. Donald Rumsfeld curiously appeared on The Opie and Anthony show to promote his new book. Even curiouser, Louis C.K. was also a guest and was allowed to question the former Secretary of Defense. What followed was nearly fifteen minutes of Louis C.K. attempting to get Donald Rumsfeld to admit that he is a lizard person who eats Mexican babies. Louis C.K., along with Tracy Morgan, is an American treasure.
